Three Poems - Wind by Robert Motherwell
Wind continues Motherwell's exploration of black on white in Three Poems to achieve dramatic effect, this time utilizing the directed characteristics of lithographic pen to create images approaching but never quite reaching the figurative. This work is the last of seven lithographs connected to the poem titled "Return, for Jose Alvarado." The lithograph is part of an 4 page folio that includes text of the poem printed in Spanish (red) and English (black) as illustrated. An impressive piece in pristine condition for discerning collectors.
