Poem by Helen Frankenthaler
Frankenthaler was an innovative and catalytic influence on the Abstract Expressionists, even introducing Motherwell to lithography at the ULAE in New York. This would help kickstart a modern art print renaissance that had not been seen since the great French printmakers some 70 years earlier. Her contribution to the O'Hara portfolio with her unique lithograph is an important art historical moment.
