Landscape by Paul Collomb
Paul Collomb was born in 1921 the same year as Francois Gilot. He was also a committed lithographer starting printmaking at the Mourlot in Paris in 1959 (just 7 years following Gilot's first lithography commission by Fernand Mourlot) and produced his last lithograph in 2000 just 10 years before his death. We see in this vibrant lithograph his very French passion for bright and rich color that resonated with collectors and admirers of his lithography with immediate success in the American print market.
