Ode 1/2 by Jane Wilson
Wilson was so revered in New York as an artist that Andy Warhol commissioned her to paint his portrait in the 1960's. Focusing on painting (she has very few printed works), especially Landscape works that bridge realism and abstract expressionism, her skill as a lithographer is clearly apparent in these magnificent rare prints.
Like Robert Motherwell her activity as both intellectual and artist earned her well deserved respect in the art world.
