Diagonal Series 1973 by Larry Zox
From 1966 to 1970 Zox transitioned to a period of extremely high quality images that quickly attracted the attention of critics and collectors. The Diagonal Series was a significant series of images that built on his innovative Scissors Jack works created during this pivotal period. The aesthetic is characterized by Zox' use of crisp, clear colors using repeating geometric shapes with a progressive clarification and simplification of design. Zox' works of this period are still highly prized and sought after by collectors.
