La Divan Japonais Vintage Serigraph by Toulouse-Lautrec
Toulouse-Lautrec was a major influencer in the graphic explosion of the 19th century. Known for his posters, fine art lithographs and painting, Lautrec's innovative aesthetic resonated with the spirit of his time and is admired to this day. Along with his Moulin Rouge,this was one of Lautrec's first poster lithographs that took Paris by storm. The figures represented include the famous French dancer Jane Avril, French writer and thinker Edouard Dujardin with Yvette Guilbert wearing her signature long black gloves on stage. This vintage serigraph in four colors is from the rare printing of his famous posters produced in Paris in the 1940's.
