Jane Avril by Toulouse-Lautrec

Toulouse-Lautrec was a major influencer in the graphic explosion of the 19th century. Known for his posters, fine art lithographs and painting, Lautrec's innovative aesthetic resonated with the spirit of his time and is admired to this day. The famous dancer Jane Avril (who appeared in many of Lautrec's paintings) is announced in this lithograph on the occasion of her first appearance at the Jardin de Paris.
