Planetarium by Raoul Dufy
Fernand Mourlot spoke of Dufy as "a keen investigator of all branches of artistic activity...entirely familiar with printing techniques". He was one of the first artists to create works specifically announcing exhibitions (of French Art in Scandinavia) followed by Picasso, thus starting this now revered poster tradition in color lithography. Although Dufy only made four original lithographic posters (he was too busy with other commissions to do more), Mourlot witnessed his application of "the same skill and conscientiousness to these creations (posters) that he brought to everything he undertook".
